It was a night of celebration as Human Resources magazine welcomed over close to 200 esteemed guests at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2017, Malaysia - the only regional recruitment awards show dedicated to recognising and celebrating the best in talent acquisition within Asia.
Held at Aloft Kuala Lumpur on 31 March 2017, the event saw the country’s best recruiters, both in-house and agencies, coming together to celebrate their wins across 25 categories. Organised by Human Resources magazine and produced by Priya Veeriah this year, here are the highlights from the awards show.
Starting with the Best Recruitment Advertising Strategy, the category saw SAP taking home gold, OSRAM Opto with silver and Maybank with bronze. Following that, HSBC was the gold winner under Best Graduate Recruitment Programme, followed by General Electric as the silver winner and Right Management as the bronze winner. Next, Syuhada Bt Mohamad Reduan from Pos Malaysia celebrated her big win as the In-house Recruitment Professional of the Year in Malaysia.
In addition to winning gold for the Best Recruitment Evaluation Technique (HSBC won silver, while Manulife won bronze), AXA Affin General Insurance also took home a bronze trophy for Best Use of Digital Media. For the latter category, Dell won silver, while Keysight Technologies won Gold.
As for the companies under the Best Candidate Experience by a Recruitment Agency category, ManpowerGroup was a proud gold winner, followed by Bell Ward with silver and Monroe Consulting Group with bronze.
After a quick break, guests were cheering on the Best Regional Recruitment Programme award winners - Maybank for gold, SAP for silver, and Keysight Technologies for bronze.
Similarly, Maybank and Keysight Technologies won gold and bronze respectively for the Best Candidate Experience by a Corporate HR Team award; with Great Eastern Life Assurance Malaysia winning the silver award. As for the Best Staff Referral Programme, the gold award went to DELL, followed by Coca-Cola Bottlers (Malaysia) with silver, and HSBC with bronze.
It was another win for SAP, with a gold for the Best Use of Recruitment Technology award, while General Electric celebrated a silver win, and Manulife with bronze.
Moving to the Best In-house Recruitment Team of the Year, big congratulations to DELL for winning gold, Keysight Technologies for taking home silver, while Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia for bronze. On the other hand, the Recruitment Agency of the Year category saw Bell Ward with gold, ManpowerGroup with silver, and CAREER CHANNEL with bronze.
The third segment for the night featured winners from the Best Employer Brand Development category - a big win for Unilever Malaysia in gold, IBM Malaysia taking the silver, and Merck Sharp & Dohme with a bronze win.
Maybank continued its winning streak with a gold win in Best Recruitment Innovation by a Corporate HR Team, where SAP and ManpowerGroup joined it on the podium with silver and bronze wins respectively. In the same category for Recruitment Agencies, JobStreet.com achieved victory with gold, joined by Spring Professional with a silver trophy.
In welcoming employees on board, Keysight Technologies brought home the gold trophy, while Great Eastern Life Assurance Malaysia won silver. Alcon MTO Johor was the bronze award winner in this category for Best On-Boarding Experience.
Monroe Consulting Group was crowned the gold winner for Best New Recruitment Agency category, closely followed by Bell Ward's silver victory, while ManpowerGroup's Selva Manogary Arikrishnan was the deserving winner of the award for Best Recruitment Consultant of the Year.
Following a short break, winners of Best Diversity and Inclusion Strategy were welcomed onstage. Merck Sharp & Dohme won the bronze, with AXA Affin General Insurance winning the silver, while Maybank celebrated another gold win.
Spring Professional took home two silver wins - one for the Best Career Website by a Recruitment Agency (Jobstreet.com won gold), and the other for the Best Client Service (Ambition Malaysia won gold, while Adecco Malaysia won bronze) award. For Best Career Website by a Corporate HR Team, SAP and Keysight Technologies took gold and silver respectively.
Before announcing the overall grand winners, recognition and applause were given to the winners of the Best Recruitment Programme for Diploma and Certificate Holders award, a new category this year - T-SYSTEMS MALAYSIA (gold), Tenaga Nasional (silver), and Coca-Cola Bottlers (Malaysia) with bronze.
Wrapping up the event on a high note, ManpowerGroup was announced as the Grand Winner 2017: Recruitment Agency; while Maybank was the proud Grand Winner 2017: In-house.
